The YouTube New Wave is an internet movement encouraging creators to embrace lo-fi tools and push against the prevailing sensationalism of YouTube.
Since it's founding in 2022 the movement has generated 7,800+ tagged videos from 1,700 creators, inspiring a new genre of content on YouTube.
In 2023 Ryan was awarded a $50,000 grant and the Pioneer Award at the annual IMI Fest for his involvement.
